Graveyard Keeper 2: How to Turn Logs into Boards and Fuel

9/26/2026 Last updated: 9/30/2026 2 min read

Get Logs and choose the next wood output

If you still need your first Logs, equip the Rusty Axe from the prologue and chop a tree. Then choose the recipe row for your next building or fuel batch and check that the requested output appears. [1] [2] [3]

StationRecipePlayer action and check
Sawhorse1 Log → 4 Boards or 2 Short LogsSelect Boards or Short Logs, load one Log, start the recipe, and collect the requested stack. [4]
Chopping Spot1 Short Log or 20 Sticks → 10 FirewoodSelect Firewood, add one Short Log or 20 Sticks, start the recipe, and collect 10 Firewood. [5]
Firewood Shed2 Firewood → 20 FuelAdd Firewood, start production, and collect Fuel when it finishes. Check that the shed’s Fuel counter increased. [6]

These recipe counts are examples; after an update, follow the current in-game row if its inputs or output differ.

Unlock missing stations and check the result

If a station is missing, open the Building Technology tree, unlock its node, and read the station blueprint for current materials before placing it. The wood and fuel stations use the relevant wood, chopping, or Bronze Melting unlocks; confirm the exact node and cost in your current tree and blueprint. [7] [8] [9]

Firewood and Fuel are separate items. Before a Furnace, Kiln, or cooking batch, read the live recipe’s Fuel requirement, check the shed counter, and confirm the output stack after the batch finishes.
