Demo length and stopping points
The demo estimate is 3–4 hours. If an End of Demo screen appears after the first battle, you may be able to continue from a save; make a manual save before entering the Port, where unsaved progress from that day may be lost. [1] [3] [4]
If an End of Demo screen appears after the first battle, load a save if you want to continue. Make a manual save before entering the Port because unsaved progress from that day may be lost. [3] [4]
What the sample includes
The demo lets you act as the Grand Inquisitor, explore The Town, gather and craft supplies, dig and decorate the graveyard, and lead an early defense against the undead. The sample may not include every full-game unlock; it does not establish a required order for a station or recipe that remains locked. [2]
Raise a worker zombie before the demo ends
To reach one recorded late-demo worker-zombie route, advance the journal until the lower Morgue opens, then unlock a Resurrection Table through the Technology tree. This is not a universal quest order or prerequisite. [5]
To raise a worker zombie:
- Put a corpse with its organs on the built Resurrection Table. The large device in the middle of the room is a separate lever.
- Add one collar and one Reanimation Liquid, then choose Prepare.
- On a green lightning day, pull the central lever.
- Check the worker list after the zombie rises; its appearance there confirms that it joined your workforce. [3] [5] [6]
If Prepare is unavailable, check the corpse, organs, collar, and Reanimation Liquid. You may need to wait for a green lightning day; this route does not establish fixed timing, a zombie cap, or a universal quest order. [5]
To install the sample, use the demo access guide. If you plan to continue the save in the full game, read the save-transfer steps; for the broader loop, see what you do in the game.
